As one of the biggest channels for watch enthousiast around the world, Monochrome has a high bar for all the content they produce. For their online review series Monochrome Watches asked Glow in The Dark to shoot all the footage of the A. Lange & Söhne Odysseus watch for their public. Watches and jewellery are known to be difficult products to film, as they are made to shine and reflect. This poses an extra challenge for the filmmakers to stay out of this reflection, but even more when the watch rotates and spins around the frame. That combined with the size of the watch itself is makes watches famously difficult to shoot.
In this video the focus has to be on the different details and complications that the watch has to offer, and therefore deep macro shots are a majority of the b-roll provided. In addition the video includes different review parts, beauty shots and lifestyle shots. The video was edited by the Monochrome team in France.
